AUDIO

  • re-enabled SFX, but will likely have to replace them in a future update 
  • added music by the amazing badass wolf shirt

VISUALS

  • improved rendering system for better performance
  • a subtle increase in colour variance
  • increased contrast of blue and purple against black
  • removed odd-number polygons in enemy shapes
  • target progress only shows when targeting
  • target progress is now back to double-framed
  • added target lines
  • removed level progress sidebar in level selection and gameplay
  • added tooltips and level progress in pause menu
  • longer bullets now use a different VFX when clearing
  • simplified spawner appearance
  • added an epic boss spawn sequence
  • made the shield charge look a little cooler

GAMEPLAY

  • revamped how enemies enter the level
  • more aesthetically pleasing enemy formations
  • each wave is split into many little subwaves
  • increased the number of enemies by a lot, but they now have less health
  • fixed a lot of bugs plaguing bullet pattern generation
  • enemies have new ways to kill you with bullets
  • bullet patterns, spawner movement, and enemy movement timings are all synced up, which means the overall bullet pattern should be constant
  • bullets can no longer follow players (rejoice!)
  • general difficulty balancing

LEVEL LAYOUT

  • made the level arrangement less linear
  • made the distribution of 'side' levels more even
  • level selector will now automatically move along a path until reaching a level
  • tutorial is now part of the level layout and can be skipped
  • level selection now has a text box that clearly states level progress
